Guns N’ Roses Member’s Wife Accidentally Leaks Tour Dates?

Duff McKagan’s Wife Edits Her Original Post Referring to 2020 Tour Dates

Guns N’ Roses maybe playing more North American stadiums in 2020. At least that could be what Duff McKagans wife Susan Holmes McKagan accidentally revealed on her social media account. She posted a few days ago

“Happy 2020!!! #GnFnR tour @americanairlinesarena Miami to S. America to Europe to USA stadium dates.” She would go back and edit out the stadium dates reference. Of course Guns N’ Roses wouldn’t be the only band touring stadiums around the US as the huge Poison, Def Leppard and Motley Crue tour will be playing numerous shows this summer. The tour has already sold out in almost half of the markets garnering almost $90 million in ticket sales.

Photo of Slash in 1996 With Howard Stern Surfaces Online!

Here’s a photo I haven’t previously seen. It’s taken from late September of 1996 when Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash appeared as a guest on the Howard Stern radio show to promote his new music for the Quentin Tarrentino film “Curdled.” Slash briefly touched on what Guns N’ Roses were up to and kept things pretty optimistic even though weeks later he would quit the band. Check it out below!

Dave Matthews Band and Pat Benatar Lead Rock Hall Voting

There is one week left to go before the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s fan vote closes. Currently Dave Matthews Band is leading the pack. They’ve received almost 900K votes, which is 100K more than the second place artist Pat Benetar. The top 5 is made up of the following

Dave Matthews Band – 894,847 votes

Pat Benatar – 799, 414 votes

Doobie Brothers – 714, 102

Soundgarden – 656, 270

Judas Priest- 614,829

It’s important to note that Dave Matthews Band wasn’t even in the top 5 when voting started back in October. Back then Benatar was in the number spot, while Doobie Brothers were in the second place rank.

You can see the current standings at the Rock Hall’s website.

According to Market Watch both Live Nation and Ticketmaster claim that buyers are getting a good value on concert tickets even though ticket prices have gone up year after year.

Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino told Market Watch that he recently told investors that concert tickets are “an incredible bargain” in comparison to other entertainment options. I don’t know what entertainment options he could be thinking of, but Rapino made the case that increasing prices provides a “huge opportunity for our bottom line.” Ticketmaster president Joe Berchtold concurred with this assessment.

Georgetown University finance professor Jim Angel revealed why he agrees with the box office giants saying

“It’s sort of like how investment bankers underprice initial public offerings. They want to make sure that the investors have a good experience and that there’s no unsold stock left at the end of the offering.”

Angel also points out that the lower price comes at a cost with the scalper market thriving.

However, according to the same report US congress is investigating six ticketing companies and their practice.
