Guns N’ Roses fans took to social media following the announcement earlier this week that the group’s 2004 ‘Greatest Hits’ album was being reissued on Vinyl this September. Ouch! Look at some of those comments below!

Guns N’ Roses To Release 2004’s ‘Greatest Hits’ On Vinyl

It was announced this week that Guns N’ Roses would be releasing their 2004 ‘Greatest Hits’ record on vinyl for the first time. The release will be a double vinyl set that will be put out through Geffen/Universal Records on September 25th.

The new release will feature their most recent single ‘Shadow of Your Love’, which came out in 2018 on the band’s reissue of ‘Appetite for Destruction.’

Chris Cornell’s Cover of ‘Patience’ Surfaces Online

Yesterday it was revealed that former Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell had covered the Guns N’ Roses song ‘Patience.’ Listen to it below!

Cornell stays pretty close to the original, but has some synths and percussion added in addition to his added depth. The video was released to celebrate Cornell’s 56th birthday.

Cornell’s Facebook page posted the following message along with the video.

“His birthday seemed the perfect time to share this and celebrate Chris, his voice, music, stories and art. It is true a man is not dead while his name is still spoken … and, through his art, an artist’s soul still burns just as bright as ever upon all those that look up to him and his memory,” “Releasing music that was special to Chris keeps a part of him here with us — his heart and his soul. His love and his legacy.”

Why Johnny Cash Covered Soundgarden’s ‘Rusty Cage’

Today Rock N’ Roll True Stories published an incredible story about why country singer Johnny Cash covered Seattle band Soundgarden’s song ‘Rusty Cage’ from the group’s third album ‘Badmotorfinger.’ He also looks at how Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell almost wrote the arrangement for Cash and Cornell’s reaction to the cover. Check out the full story below!

I was wondering if it was just me or if other fans were also…what’s the word? Disappointed? Frustrated? Sad? Pissed off? Maybe all of these words… I love Gn’R just as much as the next fan but…
Look, Guns n’ Roses wrote and recorded some amazing songs and now, it seems like they’re milking it as much as they can. Come on, guys! Look around, look at all those great bands who wrote all those great songs and released so many great albums! You’re right there, you are among the greatest bands ever, so if there’s a band who can pull it off, it’s you, guys! Or can’t you? Is it over? Maybe you were young and hungry back then with nothing to lose and that’s how you made those amazing songs…and now, now that you all have cool cars and a big house, maybe you’re not hungry anymore… Was it just a moment in time when you guys were inspired and now that, that moment is gone, you can’t come up with another album with great songs? If that’s the case, I can understand but guys, please, please stop re-re-re-releasing the same old songs, just with different covers or put in different boxes!
