Guns N’ Roses Guitarists Slash, Richard Fortus and Former Member Bumblefoot Make Best Guitarists of 2017 List

With 2017 coming to an end, it’s time to look back at the year that was. Music Radar/Total Guitar ran a a poll of the best guitarists of 2017. The poll looked at the top 16 guitarists as voted by the fans. .

There were over 136,000 respondents and Music Radar recently shared the results of the poll. Making the list at the number 3 spot were current Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash and Richard Fortus. See what they had say about the duo below!

“2017 highlight: For Slash, the recent Gun N’ Roses shows have been like a homecoming, and night after night he’s been proving why he’s the greatest guitarist of a generation. For Richard Fortus, playing alongside the original line-up of the seminal rock band has been like a dream come true, and he’s approached the gig with his usual swagger and style.”

Also making the list was former guitarist Bumblefoot who left then band in 2014. See what the website has to say about him below.

2017 highlight: While we were gutted that Bumblefoot wasn’t involved in the recent Guns N Roses shows, that meant that in 2017 we got a double dose of the virtuoso player. Art Of Anarchy released their fantastic second album The Madness early in the year, before Bumble headed full force into progressive metallers Sons Of Apollo. The band, also featuring Mike Portnoy and Billy Sheehan, is as astonishing as its line-up suggests and debut album Psychotic Symphony is astonishing.

Guns N’ Roses influence and former touring mate Brian May took the number one spot.
