Slash’s Snakepit Makes Loudwire’s List of Disappointing Supergroups

Slash’s Snakepit’s 1995 lineup which recorded It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere was listed on Loudwire’s recent video of Supergroups that Aren’t So Super. The 1995 studio version of Snakepit featured the likes of Matt Sorum (The Cult, GNR), Gilby Clarke (GNR), Mike Inez (Alice in Chains), Eric Dover (Jellyfish). Of course when it came time to tour Slash had to go out on the road without Sorum (Axl threatened to fire Matt if he went on tour) and Inez had to go back to Alice in Chains to record their self titled album.

Sebastian Bach’s Supergroup with Ted Nugent which was featured on the 2006 TV Show Supergroup also made the list. Also featured on the list was Gilby Clarke’s band Rockstar Supernova.

I was expecting to see Velvet Revolver on the list but they didn’t make it.
