MYGNRFORUM User Shares More Information on Nashville 2016 Show
On the MyGNRForum, tsinindy is reporting that the show was in Nashville (2016). “It was Nashville, and for those who don’t believe it could not have gotten out…remember NO ONE, literally no one knew Adler was in Cincy until the moment he hit the stage.”
Steven Adler performed with Guns N’ Roses in Nashville in 2016, meaning that if Izzy Stradlin had played the original Guns N’ Roses lineup would have reunited for the first time in 26 years. Keep in mind the backstage accounts are purely hearsay rumors, so should be taken with a grain of salt.
vloors posted, “Pretty sure it was one of the first Adler ones. Remember hearing there was arguing between Izzy and Adler at the sound check.”
Smoking Guns posted on MyGNR on July 2016 about a friend of his hanging out with the band before their Nashville show, “Izzy was at hotel and I think sound check. She said he seemed annoyed and grumpy. Says they want him to play but was in a shit mood and wasn’t playing. He seemed annoyed with Adler.”
“She said Izzy only seemed to care about Duff and didn’t really talk to anyone else.”
Niven said on Appetite for Distortion, “My hypothetical speculation is that moment came and went, and they should have involved him in the last tour. I would think that Izzy is pretty angry that he wasn’t treated with equality, and wasn’t a part of this tour. He did get as far as flying out and doing a soundcheck, and he left after a soundcheck, he didn’t want to have anything to do with it.”
“It was last year, it was somewhere out in the midwest, when they were doing stadiums. Obviously had it gone well and everybody had been happy, and there had been a little bit of brotherhood, I’m sure he would have stayed with it. But something must have really upset him, because he left after the soundcheck, and never turned up for another one or an appearance. I would think right now he is probably a little pissed off.”
