Russian Organizers Claim Guns N’ Roses Are Working on New Music

A new article posted discusses Guns N’ Roses upcoming show in Moscow, Russia on July 13, 2018. One interesting snippet from the article is an interview with the concert organizer who discusses new music saying (see bolded below)

“Guns N’Roses have changed their summer 2018 tour schedule in order to perform for the [football] fans at the greatest football battle on the planet… The concert will take place at one of Russia’s best new arenas – at the home stadium of FC Spartak, the 45,000-seater Otkritie Arena,” the SAV Entertainment company said in a statement published on their official website.

The Guns N’ Roses concert program features the band’s biggest hits, including “November Rain” and the cover of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.”

According to SAV Entertainment, the band are working on their new songs and are likely to perform them at the summer concerts.

Guns N’ Roses was formed in 1985 and has released six studio albums, accumulating sales of more than 100 million records worldwide.”

Russia’s first-ever FIFA World Cup will take place from June 14 to July 15 in at 12 stadiums in 11 cities. Moscow will host a total of 12 matches across two arenas, including the opening game and the final.”

Guns N’ Roses One of Many Nominees for 2018 Kerrang! Awards!

Guns N’ Roses have been listed as one of the nominees for the upcoming Kerrang Awards scheduled for June 21, 2018 in London. Fans can go over to the link below and vote for their favourite bands! Guns N’ Roses have been nominated for the “Best International Live Act” category. Also nominated are Foo Fighters, Metallica, Converge and Code Orange.

“Guns N’Roses, Metallica and Marilyn Manson have been confirmed among the nominees shortlisted for this year’s annual Kerrang! Awards, with other leading with acts tipped for gongs including Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden, Architects, Enter Shikari, and Marmozets, to name but a few.

Seeing some of the world’s biggest rock stars in attendance, the night of rock ‘n’ roll celebration will be held on 21 June 2018 at London’s Islington Town Hall.

The awards ceremony will also see Kerrang! bestow a number of merit awards recognising career-long achievements, including an inductee into the revered metal magazine’s Hall Of Fame (sponsored by Marshall) and the Legend Award.

Rock fans and readers of Kerrang! are now invited to vote for who they feel should win in their respective categories. You can cast your votes via the magazine website, and in forthcoming issues of the publication.
