Guns N’ Roses Guitarist Poses With Fans in London!
Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash hasn’t taken much of a break after Guns N’ Roses wrapped up their Europe tour last week. While most of his bandmates are probably back home in the United States, he decided to head to London and do press for his upcoming record with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators called ‘Living the Dream’. DJ Ashba Arrested for DUI in Illinois!
Thanks to Zeeshan for this! According to TMZ, legendary top hatted guitarist DJ Ashba was arrested in Illinois. According to TMZ’s website
article continued below…..
The guy who used to play lead guitar for Guns N’ Roses — post-Slash — got busted for DUI, and took one of the most rock ‘n’ roll mug shots we’ve seen in a long time … guy-liner included.
DJ Ashba was arrested Friday in Fairbury, IL on suspicion of DUI and for blowing a stop sign.
Law enforcement sources tell us Ashba first got pulled over for failing to stop but, because he showed signs of impairment, officers gave him field sobriety tests. Fair to say, it didn’t go well for Ashba … he was taken to jail, where he modeled a tight mohawk and colorful neck ink.
Ashba played with GNR from 2009 to 2015. After that he was performing as lead guitarist in Sixx:A.M. with Motley Crue vet Nikki Sixx.
Sixx:A.M. vocalist James Michael and guitarist DJ Ashba have announced that they’re launching a new band called Pyromantic.
DJ Ashba had posted a cryptic message on Twitter on last week and maybe it was foreshadowing of what was to come
My Review of Guns N’ Roses Action Figures from Funk Pops
Last year I did a review of the Funko Pop Vinyl Action Figures that were released of Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan. Sadly no Izzy Stradlin, Steven Adler or Chris Pittman Funko Pops were created. Either way these toys seem like a steal of a deal when you compare them to what’s coming out in the near future from Knucklebonz. These will set you back around $30.00 CDN ($22 US) for all three figures, while Knucklebonz will set you back $375 US for all three figures. Check out my thoughts on Funko Pop action figures below!
In case you guys missed it, apparently Funko Pops was being sued by guitar maker Gibson.
According to Bleeding Cool” Funko, the manufacturer of the popular vinyl toy line Funko POP, is being sued by guitar manufacturer Gibson over what they see as the unauthorized use of their guitars designs on POPs of rock stars.”
Gibson has trademarked the shape of their guitars. They are not the only guitar company to do so (Fender has done the same.) If a company uses guitars that represent those trademarked shapes without permission, it can spell legal trouble.
Funko has created various vinyl toy pops featuring Guns N’ Roses members Slash, Axl Rose and Duff McKagan. Metallica members James Hetfield, Kirt Hammett and KISS Members Ace Frehley and Paul Stanley have been represented on Funko’s line of vinyl figures.
The claim from Gibson names specific action figures including Slash, Ace Frehley, Paul Stanley, Kirk Hammet and James Hetfield. These figures have guitars accompanying them. If Gibson is successful in their lawsuit it could mean these figures maybe disappearing from shelves very soon. Lucky for me I bought my Guns N’ Roses figures over a year ago.
