One Year Anniversary of Guns N’ Roses Central’s First GNR Show!

Guns N’ Roses Central’s First Guns N’ Roses Show in Edmonton!

It was one year yesterday that Syd went to his first Guns N’ Roses show in Edmonton, Canada. Ahead of the gig Syd ran into some of the band members and crew and got some photos and documented his whole experience. Check it out below. Only a few months later he’d end up meeting up with Geoff and Kevin to see Guns N’ Roses perform on their home turf in Los Angeles. I’ve included that video diary below as well!

Slash Is Making Journalists Sign Liability Agreement Ahead of Interviews!

According to a new Classic Rock Magazine interview, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash is making at least some journalists sign a liability agreement making them responsible for any blow back resulting from his interviews. Slash has been out promoting his upcoming album with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators called ‘Living the Dream.’ This somewhat reminds me of the contract that Guns N’ Roses made journalists sign during the Use Your Illusion era giving the band final say over everything that was printed, although this one is much scarier. Don’t expect any hard hitting interviews anytime soon for the World’s Most “Dangerous Band”.

According to Alternative Nation

In a new Classic Rock Magazine article featuring an interview with Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, the interviewer mentions having to sign a strange contract to speak to the guitar icon.

“There are people who are worried about our conversation. Before I can speak to Slash I have to sign a contract that says that if anything goes wrong – if some kind of stuff hits the fan because of what I write – and GN’R lose money, then Classic Rock carries the can. This is no small thing when you’re dealing with the fourth biggest earning tour of all time.

There is paranoia around. The Not In This Lifetime tour took a lifetime to put together, and no one wants to be the one to mess it up. You might not have noticed, but Guns N’ Roses haven’t really talked to anyone since they re-formed. They haven’t done an interview.”

Slash has been doing press recently to promote his new album Living the Dream with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, but since Guns N’ Roses reunited he had not done a proper interview. Axl Rose and Duff McKagan did some limited press in 2016 and 2017, but rarely discussed the current state of Guns N’ Roses.
