Guns N’ Roses Released Their “Appetite For Destruction” 3D Deluxe Edition

Guns N’ Roses released their “Appetite for Destruction” 3D Deluxe Edition 4 years ago today. The live concert was shot in Las Vegas in November 2012 during the band’s residency at the Joint at the Hard Rock Casino.

The show was filmed entirely in 3D and was produced by Barry Summers from Rock Fuel Media. The cover art features part of the original Robert Williams painting that was banned from Appetite For Destruction. Slash had to sign off on the DVD being released. Slash signing off was the first sign of things to come as a year later Axl and Slash buried the hatchet after an almost 20 year feud.

The DVD sold 4,800 copies in the United States its first week. The DVD debuted #1 on the Billboard music video sales chart, selling 6,400 copies its first two weeks.[3] It also won Best 3D Music Entertainment Feature at the 2015 International 3D & Advanced Imaging Society Awards. According to ChartMasters, the release has sold 150,000 copies in equivalent album sales
