Guns N’ Roses Guitarist Slash Talks “Perfect Crime” Documentary From the 90’s
Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash talked to Radio Chile and was asked about his thoughts on the new Motley Crue film “The Dirt” and whether he’d like to see a Guns N’ Roses biopic made. He also talked a bit about the unreleased “Perfect Crime” Documentary that was shot during the band’s 2.5 year long “Use Your Illusion Tour.” While it was never released some fans speculate it’s sitting in a vault somewhere. Here’s what Slash had to say about it
Instead, Slash would prefer an officially made documentary that incorporates performances recorded during the Use Your Illusion tour that turned out to be the last trek Slash made with the band until the Not in This Lifetime tour began in 2016.
“I think we have a lot of concert footage from the ’90s in the can — like, 24-7 footage from 1991 to 1994, of just every day on the road with Guns N’ Roses,” he said. “It’s been sitting in a vault for years. And I would love for that to be edited at some point and put out. So we’ll see if that ever happens.”
Slash is currently devoting time to promote his latest solo album, Living the Dream, but in the same interview, he confirmed that Guns N’ Roses would go back into the studio after they completed a new, but so far unannounced, tour in October.
Jim Breuer Isn’t a Fan of Axl Rose Fronted AC/DC He Reveals In New Interview
Comedian Jim Breuer stopped by Brando’s “Appetite for Distortion Podcast” and talked about his love of AC/DC and his thoughts on who should replace Brian Johnson at least temporarily. He said the following
“If Brian is involved, I’m good. I haven’t bought Axl yet, I’d like to see Dave Grohl go on tour with AC/DC. I would enjoy that more. Not that he needs to be the new frontman, it’s just like:
‘Hey, it’s in honor of doing AC/DC songs. I’m Dave Grohl, you know I’m a rock guy, I love them, and I’m going on tour for 8 cities.’
I would pay to see that. Axl, and everyone said [to give it a shot], if he’s recording and Axl is recording. Listen, if you treat Brian with respect, I’m in. I didn’t like the respect that was given to Brian in the last go around.”
A lifelong AC/DC fan, Breuer is unable to accept Axl fronting the group and even went as far as to say that the band is done. He doesn’t condemn the Guns N’ Roses mainman, shrugging his shoulders and simply summing up that Axl’s work does cut it for him personally. Rather than watch the band try to soldier on losing critical members in recent years, he suggested an alternative route for Angus Young to continue scratching his touring itch.
