Prince’s Paisley Park Draws Duff McKagan, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars Amongst Others!
The Star Tribune published an article discussing the tours offered at Prince’s Paisley Park Estate and some of the famous celebrities who have stopped by. According to the article Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses, Chad Smith of the Chili Peppers, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Shania Twain and many other celebrities have taken the tour. Also amongst the musicians are comedians Dave Chappelle and George Lopez.
The celebrities are allowed to prearrange their tour times, but the Estate are quick to point out the celebs don’t get special treatment. They are essentially seeing the same things shown on the public tours and nothing more. The only real difference is that the tours can get a little more technical with the musicians as they geek out over studio setups.
If you’re interested in taking a tour they retail between $38.50 to $160.00. Tickets can be bought on the Paisley Park website. I’m not sure why there is such a huge price difference or why there is a scale to begin with not being a huge Prince fan myself.
Duff McKagan wrote about visiting the park on social media in 2016 when Guns N’ Roses were touring through Minneapolis on their Not in This Lifetime Tour. Check out the tweet from Paisley Park with Duff below!

Duff has been pretty vocal about how much of an influence Prince was on his career and giving him the strength to leave Seattle and follow his dreams in Los Angeles. Duff has cited 1999 as one of his most influential albums in his career. Both Slash and Axl Rose also expressed sadness when Prince passed away in 2016 and Duff paid tribute to the late musician at Coachella by having his symbol on his white fender bass guitar during the show. Guns N’ Roses were rumored to perform a cover of a Prince song but sadly that didn’t happen.
