28 Years Ago Axl Rose Walks off Stage During “Welcome to the Jungle”
Guns N’ Roses would play two shows in Finland in 1991. The second show went reasonably well. The first show, Axl Rose randomly walked off the stage during “Welcome to the Jungle.” This happened mere weeks before Izzy Stradlin played his last show with the band at the end of August in 1991. Guns N’ Roses were on the “Get in the Ring” tour and an hour in to the show, as the band launch into Welcome To The Jungle, Axl leaves the stage. The rest of the band plays an instrumental version of the song and continue the set with 14 Years, a drum solo and a guitar solo. After 25 minutes, Axl returned. The first show in Finland was Guns N’ Roses first show in Europe as art of the “Use Your Illusion Tour” and it was an unusual show since the band opened with Mr. Brownstone, which is normally the second song in the set. During the show Axl also thanked the crowd for giving them the band “Hanoi Rocks”

Nicolas Cage Talks About Living Like Axl Rose
Actor Nicolas Cage was recently interviewed by Consequence of Sound and brought up Axl Rose saying
“I heavily prefer to not go out. I’d rather just stay at home. I don’t think I can decompress ever again, even at a karaoke bar. It’s too vulnerable. I’m not trying to complain. It’s a fact of life that I have to accept. I’d much rather let my work and not my personal life speak for me. Rob Zombie once said to me, ‘Be as normal in your own life as you can be, so you can be as messed up as you want in your art.’
That’s what I want. I want to be on the Axl Rose program. I don’t want to go anywhere. I just want to look at my aquarium, look at my sea horse, read my Murakami, watch Bergman. I’ve been on a great Bergman run. I just saw The Virgin Spring, Hour of the Wolf, Persona. I also love Tarkovsky. I love The Sacrifice. I looked at Stalker again. I have all the time in the world in between movies to lose myself in these maestros’ films.”

James Hetfield Calls Woman Who Scared Off Cougar By Blasting “Don’t Tread on Me” By Metallica
Last week, it was reported that British Columbia resident Dee Gallant came face to face with a cougar while walking her dog outside the city of Duncan on Vancouver Island.
After numerous attempts to scare off the animal had no effect, Gallant turned to her phone and blasted out Metallica’s Don’t Tread On Me which resulted in the wild animal fleeing back into the woods.
Well, her dream came true as the Metallica frontman called her – and to prove it was really him, Hetfield sent her a selfie.
Gallant tells CTV News Vancouver: “I was a little bit lost for words. It’s surreal how quickly it happened and how far it’s gone. The fact that he’s so down to earth and such a great person, I’m very pleased to find that out first-hand.”
They pair chatted about the story and how it had been picked up across the world, their love of dogs and the island’s Cowichan Valley.
“I can’t believe he knows my dog’s name,” she said. “If you had told the 18-year-old me that this would happen, I never would’ve believed it. I would’ve just fallen out of my skin with excitement.”
