Axl Rose Goes Off On Nirvana During the Guns N’ Roses Metallica Tour 27 Years Ago

1992 was an exciting time if you were a fan of rock n’ roll. A lot of great rock bands came out of the pacific northwest and by far the most popular (but not the best) one was Nirvana. Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose called himself a fan of the group and even wanted them to tour with Metallica and Guns N’ Roses but Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain declined. Kurt would say negative things about Axl Rose and the band in the press leading Rose to finally retaliate. On September 2, 1992 the Guns N’ Roses and Metallica tour stopped in Orlando, Florida and during Guns N’ Roses set Axl Rose finally broached the subject of Nirvana. Hear what he had to say below. I’ve also included the whole saga between both bands below as well.
