30 years ago today at the MTV Video Music Awards, Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil punched Izzy Stradlin of Guns N’ Roses. Neil claimed Stradlin assaulted his wife at the Cat Club. Today we take a look at the feud that ensued.

New Guns N’ Roses Book Due Out in September

A new Guns N’ Roses book next week on September 23, 2019 according to Barnes and Nobles website. This is amid news that Slash revealed that the band is working on new music. The book is titled “Dead Straight Guide to Guns N’ Roses”. It is written by Mick Oshea. O’Shea has written numerous music books including a Guns N’ Roses book in 2008 called “The Guns N’ Roses Encyclopedia.” Whether it’s a reprint of that book who knows. You can see his webpage here.

The summary of the book on Barnes and Nobles reads

Guns N’ Roses, or GNR is one of the biggest-selling rock bands of the past 30 years. Forming in 1985, their first album titled Appetite for Destruction followed two years later. With many star performers including Slash, Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin and later drummer Matt Sorum, the band has always been high-profile. Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II, recorded simultaneously and released in 1991, debuted at number two and number one on the Billboard 200 respectively and have sold a combined 35 million copies worldwide. The band is currently on a massive world tour, and with talk of a new album, have never been more popular.
