Axl Rose Had to Once Be Arrested to Get to the Rolling Stones Gig on Time in 1989.

Back in 1989 Axl Rose and Guns N’ Roses opened 4 shows for the Rolling Stones at the LA Coliseum. During the first night’s show Axl Rose was a no show before the band took to the stage so their manager at the time Alan Niven asked the LAPD to get Axl from his apartment and bring him to the gig in handcuffs if necessary. Vevo Claims Guns N’ Roses Have the Biggest Rock Video of All Time With “November Rain”

According to Guitar.com

Vevo has recently delved into its analytics to compile a list of the world’s most-viewed rock videos, in celebration of its 10th anniversary. Guns N’ Roses recently performed “Dead Horse” for the first time in 26 years!

Topping the list is Guns N’ Roses video for the 1992 power ballad November Rain. The nine-minute video has seen over 1.2 billion worldwide views since its upload to YouTube ten years ago. Collectively, assuming everyone watched the whole nine minutes and sixteen seconds, that’s over 22,000 years spent by humans watching the video.

The video is noted for its large budget, totalling around $1 million (it’s actually $1.5 Million) It’s also not the first record break for the clip, in 2018 it was the first video made pre-YouTube to hit a billion views on the platform.

Also appearing alongside “November Rain” Smells Like Teen Spirit and Chop Suey. Guns N’ Roses make another appearance at number three, with Sweet Child Of Mine. Taking the second slot, the newest song on the list, is the awful band Imagine Dragons’ Believer.

The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund was founded in memory of the legendary rock singer Ronnie James Dio, who lost his life to gastric cancer in 2010. A privately funded 501(c)(3) charity organization dedicated to cancer prevention, research and education, the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund has already raised over $2 million in its short history. Monies raised have been committed to the cancer research work of the T.J. Martell Foundation for Cancer, AIDS and Leukemia Research, the gastric cancer research unit of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where Ronnie was treated for gastric cancer during the last six months of his life, and other cancer research projects. The Dio Cancer Fund has also committed funds to support the research of Dr. David Wong and his team at the UCLA School of Dentistry in developing a simple, non-invasive saliva test for the early detection of cancer, which is in keeping with the Fund‘s mission of cancer prevention, research and education.
