Slash Discusses How Much He Pays for His Top-Hats and How Long They last
In a new interview with Thrasher Guns N’ Roses Guitarist told the magazine how many tophats he normally has on him and how much they cost. He also revealed how long they last on tour. The exchange went as follows:
Interviewer: I’ve pondered how many pairs of sunglasses and hats you actually own.
Slash: I don’t collect them or anything like that. I have two top hats, one that I just got recently. They are two nice ones. The other ones are just the felt ones you buy in any hat shop. They cost about $60 and they last about the length of a whole tour, depending on how much rain is involved. I don’t really collect them, but I have about eight or 10 laying around at home.
Slash Appears on Steve Jones 95KLOS Radio Show Yesterday
If you guys saw my post earlier this week then you’d know that Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash was set to appear on Steve Jones Radio show on 95KLOS in Los Angeles. Some speculated Slash would give an update on what’s going on in the Guns N’ Roses camp in regards to a new album. Well…some fans are not happy because of how useless the interview was. Some members on the MYGNRFORUM stated the following:
Flake wrote: “Wow. What a waste of time that was. Poor Slash”
LovelessNL wrote: “Lol wow, 45 mins of my life I’ll never get back”
sofine11 wrote “Um…Did it just expletive end?”
valengf wrote “what the expletive was this?
GNRFanJen wrote “For people wanting a summary of the interview:
You missed absolutely nothing. Be glad you didn’t waste 45 minutes on that like I did.”
Steven Adler Discusses the Guns N’ Roses Reunion
Former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler appeared on Thursday’s episode of Eddie Trunk’s “Trunk Nation: L.A. Invasion” on Sirius XM and talked a bit about his role in the reunion saying that “it was really awesome” that he got to perform with GUNS N’ ROSES on the band’s reunion tour. Adler performed several shows with the band including their appearances in Cincinnati, Nashville and Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2016. He not appeared with the band since, but revealed earlier that he was offered a chance to join them on stage during their trek through Australia, Thailand and Japan in 2017, but declined due to the fact he was only invited to perform one song. During Adler’s appearance with the band he played “Out Ta Get Me” and “My Michelle” from the group’s 1987 debut album “Appetite for Destruction.”
During his appearance on Siriux XM he said the following.
“Like Freddie Mercury said, ‘One year of love is better than a lifetime alone,’” he said. “And I had five great years. And they let me go up and play a few shows, a couple of songs, and it was really awesome. Just to be on stage with Slash and Duff [McKagan] and Axl [Rose] again. It’s not exactly what I wanted, but, like Freddie said, ‘One year of love is better than a lifetime alone.’
Adler revealed in early 2017 that he was supposed to be touring with the band playing all the “Appetite for Destruction” songs while current drummer Frank Ferrer would play all the material from “Chinese Democracy” and “Use Your Illusion.”
Adler, meanwhile has been playing sporadic gigs with his own band Adler’s Appetite that performs mostly Guns N’ Roses songs in their set and recently played the Kiss Kruise. Here’s hoping Steven joins the band once again on stage.
