David Lee Roth Claims Eddie Van Halen Is “Not Doing Well”
Frontman David Lee Roth is kicked off his residency in Las Vegas this week and sat down with the Las Vegas Review-Journal and revealed that Van Halen guitarist Eddie Van Halen is “not doing well.” Roth would reveal in the interview
“Ed’s not doing well, and singing and dancing is a perishable skill, If you have the capacity, it’s something that has to be used routinely, if not for the thrill of it and the magic of creating with other incandescent spirits.”
TMZ reported last year that Eddie Van Halen has been going to Germany to receive treatment for his cancer. Photos have emerged online recently of Eddie where his health looks like it’s taken a turn for the worst. The rumors about Eddie Van Halen’s health all started with an interview Roth gave last September where he revealed that Van Halen was finished, but refused to elaborate any further saying
“I think Van Halen’s finished and this is the next phase,” . “And that being said, Eddie’s got his own story to tell. Not mine to tell it.”
Most recently Eddie Van Halen was spotted at a Tool concert in Los Angeles so he’s been out and about living his life.
Van Halen played their last show in 2015 and Roth will be busy this year doing a residency in Vegas this month before he opens for Kiss for the rest of the year.
