Avenged Sevenfold Release New Song “Set Me Free”

Avenged Sevenfold have released a new song called “Set Me Free.” According to the video’s description the song was recorded for the group’s 2013 album “Hail to the King” but never used until now. The song is the only track on the record to feature Arin Ilejay on drums before Brooks Wackerman tookthe throne in 2015. It is a slower song and is quite a bit different from most songs off the “Hail to the King” record. Check it out below!

A user on Reddit user posted a screenshot of the band confirming that their 2008 b-sides album, Diamonds in the Rough, will be available on Feb. 7 and “Set Me Free” will be included as part of that release. See that below!

The band’s last studio release was 2016’s The Stage, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 despite being a surprise. The band’s 2018 trek was cut short due to health issues frontman M. Shadows suffered to his vocal chords.  It is rumored the band will release a new record this year.
