PEARL JAM Debut’s a New Song in Super Bowl Ad
Last night’s SUPER BOWL saw PEARL JAM debut a new song called “River Cross” during a commercial for Verizon’s 5G service, which starred Harrison Ford who narrated the spot. The song is on PEARL JAM’s upcoming record “Gigaton,” which is the alternative rockers first album in 7 years. “River Cross” is just the second song to be released from the record with the first being “Dance of the Clairvoyants.”

GUNS N’ ROSES song “Patience,” more specifically the intro with frontman AXL ROSE whistling was featured on a Super Bowl ad for Saint Archer Gold Brewery. It was the 30 second spot that aired at halftime and you can see the full version of the commercial below!
The commercial sees a man skateboarding across the city of San Diego, visiting several liquor stores sold out of Saint Archer Gold Beer, but they have plenty of the competition Michelob Ultra available. The man finally finds a pack of the beer he seeks.
San Diego 7 NBC, reported that the protagonist in the commercial is Saint Archer Gold co-founder and professional skateboarder Paul Rodriquez.
For those keeping track at home, “Patience” appeared on GUNS N’ ROSES second E.P. 1988’s “GN’R Lies” and was the only single released from the record and is one of the band’s more popular songs.
Speaking of the Super Bowl, GUNS N’ ROSES performed at Friday’s Super Bowl Music Festival in Miami, Florida. It would mark the band’s first concert of 2020 and the band took the opportunity to pay tribute to NBA Star KOBE BRYANT who died last weekend in a helicopter crash with his daughter during “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.”
