CHRIS PITMAN was fired by GUNS N’ ROSES in early 2016 prior to the band’s 2016 ‘Not In This Lifetime’ tour for badmouthing the band on social media. MELISSA REESE would replace CHRIS PITTMAN and has been a touring member of the band for the past four years. CHRIS PITMAN has also posted other photos on social media hinting that he is jamming with TOOL in the past few months, even revealing a photo from a rehearsal. It’s not clear whether he is a member of the band.

MEGADETH To Tour With LAMB OF GOD As Part of a Massive Co-Headlining Tour

Today it was revealed that metal bands MEGADETH and LAMB OF GOD will tour together as what’s being dubbed as a “co-headlining” trek. The tour will take up a large amount of their 2020 with the North American shows also having TRIVIUM and IN FLAMES as supporting acts.

This tour will mark the first time MEGADETH has headlined since frontman DAVE MUSTAINE was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. MEGADETH is currently opening for FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH across Europe until the end of this month. This tour has marked the first tour dates MEGADETH has undertaken since DAVE MUSTAINE was declared “cancer-free”

LAMB OF GOD’s guitarist MARK MORTON released a statement to coincide with today’s announcement saying

“The world has never needed heavy more than it does today and top to bottom, this tour delivers! LAMB OF GOD has toured with and been friends with all of these bands for years, but for all of us to be on the same bill is something extra special. Come early and stay late. This is THE metal tour of the year.”

TRIVIUM’s MATT HEAFY would put out a statement saying

“We are happy to be a part of the biggest real metal tour of the year. This tour is the main event and represents heavy metal and the culture that goes with it,”

IN FLAMES‘ ANDERS FRIDEN would add

“We were honored to be asked to join this package. We were actually supposed to take this summer off, but of course we couldn’t say no. After playing shows with all of these guys for years, 2020 is going to feel like an awesome reunion. See you on the road, Jesterheads!”
