BRIAN MAY Of QUEEN Attacks Cameraman Who Greets Him Along With Fans in Australia
QUEEN guitarist BRIAN MAY flipped out at a cameraman after landing in Australia as part of QUEEN’s tour. QUEEN is in Australia to headline the Firefight Australia benefit show on February 16th. As QUEEN guitarist BRIAN MAY arrived at the airport he was greated by some fans who asked for autographs and pictures. The local Channel 7 News cameraman happened to be filming the interaction with BRIAN MAY turning to the camerman and saying
“You gotta stop that because I ain’t doing this.”
The cameraman didn’t let up and kept filming BRIAN MAY as he met more fans with the guitarist asking
“Excuse me, I said no,” he said to the camera.
At one point BRIAN MAY moved towards the cameraman and says:
“All right, is this going to get ugly? Because you put it down now or else something ugly happens. Do you understand? You stop now. I’m serious, I’m deadly serious.”
BRIAN MAY would then come in contact with the cameraman who was allegedly a Queen fan – used his phone to keep recording.
“Oh, the guy’s doing it on his phone now. You’re so clever, aren’t you?” May would say, while posing for a picture with a fan. “What a parasite you are. Just leave us alone, will you? ”Do you not understand? All right, all right. You go away now!” The guitarist was then led away but told the fans that he was sorry for how things ended up blaming the reporter saying
“I’m sorry it was made ugly by this guy. So sorry.”
The incident took place before Queen played a show at the Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin, where they covered Led Zeppelin classic “Whole Lotta Love.” Check out the video below of the scuffle below!”
