Watch TOMMY LEE Of MOTLEY CRUEPlay a Professor In “The Goldbergs”

We had previously reported that TOMMY LEE of MOTLEY CRUE was going to be playing a professor on the ABC show “The Goldbergs.” Now there appears to be a clip of TOMMY LEE in character putting down rock music. TOMMY LEE portrays “Professor Lee” in a newly released clip from “The Goldbergs.” The trailer promotes TOMMY LEE’s appearance on tonight’s episode, which air’s at 8PM ET. The episode titled “Preventa Mode” sees Barry Goldberg (Troy Gentile) as he takes his college professor on a Valentine’s Day date. When the relationship sours he ends up visiting the department head who is portrayed by LEE to make sure he’s allowed to date his teacher.

In the newly released clip Goldberg is seen talking to LEE and says

 “There’s this awesome rock song about inappropriate love I’m trying to base my life on.”

TOMMY LEE’s character wearing a bow tie would respond

“You mean that deafening noise made by morally questionable gentlemen?”

TOMMY LEE enthused about his appearance (via recently Blabbermouth)

. “I love doing this type of thing. I got to work with an amazing cast and crew, play dress up for a day and have a blast. And I gotta say, … those professor shoes were so comfortable!”

The show’s producer Adam F. Goldberg would comment on the collaboration with MOTLEY CRUE drummer TOMMY LEE saying

“Growing up in the ’80s, I spent a lot of time watching MTV,I loved MOTLEY CRUE’s ‘Home Sweet Home’ video about missing your girlfriend while being out on the road. It was one of the first rock ballads that starts off with a soft piano and kicks in with the full band. I’m so grateful Tommy agreed to have some fun with us in this episode. He was terrific.”

Following TOMMY LEE’s appearance on “The Goldbergs” he’ll be hooking up with his band MOTLEY CRUE for a reunion tour alongside DEF LEPPARD, POISON and JOAN JETT for a summer stadium tour throughout North America.
