GILBY CLARKE Releases New Song “Rock N’ Roll Is Getting Louder”

GUNS N’ ROSES guitarist GILBY CLARKE recently slammed the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and also released his first brand new single in over a decade from his upcoming solo record “The Gospel Truth.” The new single is called “Rock N’ Roll Is Getting Louder,” which was put out through Golden Robot Records who also released GUNS N’ ROSES keyboardist DIZZY REED’s solo record “Rock N’ Roll Ain’t Easy” and his upcoming unnamed record. GILBY CLARKE’s new record features members of his touring band including EJ CURSE (bass/vocals) and TROY PATRICK FARRELL(drums/vocals).

GILBY CLARKE replaced original GUNS N’ ROSES guitarist IZZY STRADLIN in 1991, but was eventually fired  by frontman AXL ROSE in 1994. GILBY CLARKE has had a good career playing in other band’s including SLASH’s SNAKEPITROCK STAR SUPERNOVA and HEART. His solo debut “Pawnshop Guitars” was put out in 1994 while he was still a member of GUNS N’ ROSES. If you remember DUFF MCKAGAN and SLASH put out their own individual releases around the same time. SLASH even played on the song “Tijuana Jail”

GILBY CLARKE revealed a few years ago that he was supposed to join GUNS N’ ROSES as part of the “Not in This Lifetime Tour,” but conflicts with his schedule prevented that from happening

OZZY OSBOURNE’s First Record in a Decade “Ordinary Man” Is a Huge Hit & Features Members of GUNS N’ ROSES

OZZY OSBOURNE’s latest record titled “Ordinary Man” is a huge hit on both sides of the Atlantic. The album debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 charts, the first time that has happened since his 2007 record “Black Rain“. The album sold 77,000 equivalent album units, with 65,000 being the result of album sales (whatever that means). In the UK, the album also debuted at number 3 making it the singer’s highest charting solo album of his career. His previous best was “Blizzard of Ozz,” which would peak at the number 7 spot.

Also featured on the album are GUNS N’ ROSES members SLASH and DUFF MCKAGAN in addition to The RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer CHAD SMITH and ELTON JOHN.

It was also recently announced that the singer has released an 8-bit video game called “Legend of Ozzy”, which lets players control the singer and avoid bad guys including wolves, devils and evil eyes. You can play the game here.

So, what’s next for OZZY OSBOURNE? Well, OZZY recently revealed he’s already going to be working on his follow up record later this month. He recently cancelled his upcoming North America tour for a surprising reason and is planning on rescheduling those dates.

90’s Alternative Rock Band Local H Got Screwed Over By Their Record Label

Back in the 90’s before we had two person band’s like the Black Keys or the White Stripes, there was a band named Local H. They are probably best known for their song “Bound For the Floor.” They had a huge record with 1996s “As Good As Dead,” and their follow up, 1998’s “Pack up the Cats” was supposed to be an even bigger record, but their record label screwed the band over.
