OZZY OSBOURNE To Leave Fortune to His Kids
With recent news of actor Kirk Douglas not leaving his fortune to his children, Sharon Osbourne revealed on her show “The Talk” that her husband’s “body of work” will be passed on to their children upon their couple’s deaths. During the February 28th episode of “the talk” OSBOURNE said the following:
“Listen, everybody is different. And I just know that my husband’s body of work, that he’s written, and kept us all in the lifestyle that we love, goes to my children. And his name and likeness goes to my children. ‘Cause you leave your name and likeness, and I don’t want someone that never met my husband owning his name and likeness, and selling t-shirts everywhere and whatever. No, it stays in the Osbourne family.”
SHARON OSBOURNE’s co-host Marie Osmond appeared showed her support to Kirk Douglas’s decision, saying:
“People say, ‘Who are you going to leave your money to?’ Your kids will say, ‘Are you going to leave the money to me?’ I’m not leaving any money to my children,” she exclaimed. “Congratulations, kids.”
“My husband and I decided, I think you do a great disservice to your children to just hand them a fortune because you take away the one most important gift you can give your children and that’s the ability to work, And you see it a lot in rich families, where the kids, they don’t know what to do and so they get in trouble. Let them be proud of what they make and I’m going to give mine to my charity.”
OZZY OSBOURNE recently revealed that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2003. He recently released his first album in 10 years with “Ordinary Man” which came out in late February. The album features appearances from members of GUNS N’ ROSES, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS and ELTON JOHN.
