DEE SNIDER Appears to Slam The GUNS N’ ROSES Reunion
During a recent appearance on Eddie Trunk’s podcast “Trunk Nation”, DEE SNIDER of TWISTED SISTER fame appeared to take a shot at GUNS N’ ROSES Reunion tour. I agree his points are absolutely valid with him saying the following:
“I’ve got no plans for it. I’ve heard people and I just shrug my shoulders. The idea of being 100 on that stage terrifies me.
“The first thing is: ‘You’re the one who quantified and verbalized my situation.’ I created a persona and a performance level for myself that I painted myself into a corner.
“There’s a standard that people expect and that I expect of myself, and honestly, I’m afraid of hurting myself with my ego, it’s too big to not thrash about.
“I quietly walked away, last summer, and I’m doing some Kings of Chaos things this year, but I got no plans on the horizon. And just the idea of a bunch of lumbering old dudes on the stage… I’m not impressed with a lot of the reunions.
“I won’t name names, but one that’s been out there performing for way too long in their reunion, and they just stand there with their microphones with virtually no movement at all, I was stunned to see a band that used to be all over the stage just stand there frozen in place.”
OZZY OSBOURNE’s First Record in a Decade “Ordinary Man” Is a Huge Hit & Features Members of GUNS N’ ROSES
OZZY OSBOURNE’s latest record titled “Ordinary Man” is a huge hit on both sides of the Atlantic. The album debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 charts, the first time that has happened since his 2007 record “Black Rain“. The album sold 77,000 equivalent album units, with 65,000 being the result of album sales (whatever that means). In the UK, the album also debuted at number 3 making it the singer’s highest charting solo album of his career. His previous best was “Blizzard of Ozz,” which would peak at the number 7 spot.
Also featured on the album are GUNS N’ ROSES members SLASH and DUFF MCKAGAN in addition to The RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer CHAD SMITH and ELTON JOHN.
It was also recently announced that the singer has released an 8-bit video game called “Legend of Ozzy”, which lets players control the singer and avoid bad guys including wolves, devils and evil eyes. You can play the game here.
So, what’s next for OZZY OSBOURNE? Well, OZZY recently revealed he’s already going to be working on his follow up record later this month. He recently cancelled his upcoming North America tour for a surprising reason and is planning on rescheduling those dates.
90’s Alternative Rock Band Local H Got Screwed Over By Their Record Label
Back in the 90’s before we had two person band’s like the Black Keys or the White Stripes, there was a band named Local H. They are probably best known for their song “Bound For the Floor.” They had a huge record with 1996s “As Good As Dead,” and their follow up, 1998’s “Pack up the Cats” was supposed to be an even bigger record, but their record label screwed the band over. Today we talk about the band’s career and how bad business decisions halted their career.
