“It could happen, absolutely. I mean, things are good. If everybody put their heads together, and really wanted to do something like that, I’m sure we could do it. It’s not impossible, it’s just a matter of when or why.”

Simmons followed up by asking DAVE GROHL if the “rights were screwed up” to which GROHL responded:

“I have to be perfectly honest, I don’t understand it. I have kept myself blissfully outside of most of the business stuff that we do, conceptually I have the same manager for 30 years, I’ve had the same accountant for 30 years, I’ve had the same monitor guy for 30 years. We all started in the  van, and here we are. So we learned everything along the way, and we learned to love each other and become this family.

So anything we do, we kind of protect what we have. But I still to this day, I don’t want to know about money. I know it sounds bad, but I never had any when I was young. Mom was a public school teacher, lived in a house in Springfield, Virginia, lived in a Furniture Warhorse. Wanted to go to Parsons to be a commercial art design guy, too stupid, too poor, that wasn’t going to happen.

So I played drums in a punk rock band, and worked at the furniture store, and was totally happy, I didn’t need more. Then when the the whole thing went nuts, I thought this is cool.”

“With the Nirvana stuff, it’s complicated obviously, it’s more complicated than most situations. But anything is possible if people actually want to do something. But I wouldn’ direct it, that’s for  sure.”

Foo Fighters recently revealed a huge update on their next album.
