PANTERA’s Phil Anselmo Reveals Disappointing News to Fans

Don’t Expect a Book From Phil Anselmo Anytime Soon

Former PANTERA frontman PHIL ANSELMO was recently interviewed on Horns Up Rocks, and he talked about his long awaited book about his life. The exchange went as follows:

You were working on a book. Is that still in the plans?

“No, it’s not happening. I’m still living the chapters. If I make it another 10 years, that would be amazing, then maybe it’d be time to write a book or something, not right now.”

Would it take some of your musical agenda?

“Yeah, it would have taken away from my musical agenda because if I’m gonna do a book, I’m gonna do it properly, I’m gonna do it for real. I will lay it on the line.

“In order to do that, that needs my inordinate attention, and yes, there’s no way I’m gonna be juggling music and a book at the same time unless it’s not about me. That in itself is uncomfortable.

“It’s, like, ‘Maybe I should just stick to screaming rock songs and let the story tell itself.’ I’m sure someone will write a book or something.”

Pop-Country Star Carrie Underwood Talks Attending GUNS N’ ROSES Show

Pop Star and Country Singer Carrie Underwood is out promoting her new book, Find Your Path. She stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (see video below) on Friday night, and recounted how she “abandoned” her husbandMike Fisher, and their two kids to go see a GUNS N’ ROSES concert in Las Vegas last year. I happened to be at the same show that night. She wasn’t the only big celebrity on the stage as another A-List celebrity even joined the band onstage.

story continued below…

Underwood said the following:

“Our tour wrapped and we were nowhere near Las Vegas. So, naturally, I said let’s go to Las Vegas with the band and go see G N’ R (Guns N’ Roses) play ’cause it’s kind of a lifelong dream of mine I never thought would happen and couldn’t waste that opportunity,” she began. “So, I abandoned my husband, abandoned my two children, went to Vegas, saw Guns N’ Roses.”
