GUNS N’ ROSES Ex-Drummer MATT SORUM Talks COVID-19
Ex-GUNS N’ ROSES drummer Matt Sorum and his wife Ace Harper, were interviewed this weekend on the Facebook page of Global Hack. Global Hack is a technology marathon focused on stopping the spread of coronavirus
story continued below…
Talking about the homeless who are at a high risk of getting coronavirus, Sorum said:
“The people I worry about right now are a lot of the homeless out in the streets in L.A. We’ve been having a major homeless epidemic anyway. And in America, I feel like that’s something that just has not really been looked at in a serious way that needs to be addressed, especially with pandemics. The governor of California, [Gavin] Newsom, has done a pretty good job of being able to house a lot of homeless people, but, obviously, a lot of homeless people don’t wanna be housed.
“This is gonna create a whole new language and make people really understand how we need to address this,” he continued. “Because, not to scare people, but more pandemics will come. And because of global warming, we have to get prepared and be ready for the next phase of what’s gonna happen next. And, obviously, this is the most important time for us to all come together.”
To date there have been more than 1.7 million coronavirus cases and more than 180 deaths.

MATT SORUM, Former GUNS N’ ROSES Drummer Performs “Patience”
The post on his Instagram opens up with the drummer saying
: “Here I am again with my guitar. I’m out in the backyard here in the desert. You see my palm trees. It’s getting a little chilly, so I put on this wooly hat in tribute to Izzy Stradlin, one of the writers of this next song. I was very fortunate to play with my old bandmates on this song. Obviously, I was on the drums. I’m gonna play it for you tonight on the guitar and sing it. I hope you enjoy my version. This one’s called ‘Patience‘.”
Sadly for GUNS N’ ROSES fans, Chicago Review Press, the drummer’s publisher has pushed back the release date of his autobiography titled “Double Talkin’ Jive: True Rock ‘N’ Roll Stories From The Drummer Of Guns N’ Roses, The Cult, And Velvet Revolver”, to July 7 from the previously announced April 7.
