Matt Sorum Discusses Guns N’ Roses Reunion
Former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum is out promoting his new book and the topic of the ‘Not in This Lifetime Tour’ came up. Sorum told Billboard why he wouldn’t be involved in the reunion saying

People will ask me, ‘Don’t you want to be out on the road with those guys? Why aren’t you on the tour?'” he said. “And I’m, like, ‘Well, something else is in store. I had a baby. I’m doing different projects. I’m doing my own thing.’ That’s what the universe has intended for me. I’ve never tried to put a square peg into a round hole.”
Sorum’s new book ‘Double Talkin Jive’ is due out September 7th.
Guns N’ Roses Axl Rose Loses His Ex Father In-Law
Don Everly, the elder brother of the Everly Brothers passed away last weekend on, August 21st, His daughter Erin Everly used to be married to Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose and inspired their hit song ‘Sweet Child of Mine.’ Erin was one of three children Don leaves behind that he had with British-born actress Venetia Stevenson. The pair would separate in the 70’s over Don’s issues with substance abuse.
Axl Rose Pays Tribute to Charlie Watts of The Rolling Stones
It was revealed today that 80 year old Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts passed away after a battle with an undisclosed illness. Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose took to social media to express his condolences. if you guys remember, Guns N’ Roses opened for The Rolling Stones in 1989 for four shows. Check out his tweet below..

“Axl called me and he really wanted me a part of the reunion, and I turned it down,” Ashba said. “I felt if Slash is coming back, that’s great — that’s what the fans want, and I can go off and do what I really wanna do now… And we left [off on good terms]; everything is good. And I couldn’t be happier for the fans out there. I’m a fan. Half of the band reunited, which excites me, but at the same time, it’s the best of both worlds — I get to do what I really love to do, and that’s play in SIXX:A.M.“
‘Absurd’ Tops iTunes Rock Charts
The first week of Guns N’ Roses releasing their new song ‘Absurd’ it topped the iTunes rock charts, but a week later it’s not even in the Top 40. However, Sweet Child of Mine and Welcome to the Jungle are on the Top 40 charts.
‘Sweet Child of Mine’ Surpasses One Billion Streams on Spotify
It was announced this week that ‘Sweet Child of Mine’, Guns N’ Roses breakthrough track that propelled the group to top the Billboard chats in the summer of 1988 finally surpassed one billion streams on Spotify according to Forbes. The song surpassed one billion streams on YouTube back in October of 2019. Guns N’ Roses song ‘November Rain’ also surpassed one billion streams on YouTube a few years ago.
Guns N’ Roses Going After Counterfeit Clothing Sellers On ‘Not in This Lifetime Tour’
Guns N’ Roses are mobilizing their lawyers by going after people who sell counterfeit merchandise outside their gigs as part of this Not In This Lifetime Tour. I’ve personally seen these people selling knock off touch merch outside of venues. Bloomberg would report that the band partnered with Global Merchandising Services who has exclusive license to create their apparel they sell at shows. Ahead of their North America tour, the band was able to get court orders in the cities they are performing in allowing police and federal marshals to seize unlicensed goods from bootlegers before and after concerts.
Global Merchandising has hired a nine person security team to seize the shirts. Outside Guns N’ Roses recent show in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the security team seized over 400 unlicensed shirts. In Detroit a few days later the team confiscated almost 250 shirts.
Guns N’ Roses Offer Support to Mammoth WVH
Guns N’ Roses are out on tour with Mammoth WVH, the solo act of Eddie Van Halen’s son Wolfgang. Being the son of Eddie Van Halen of course comes with the haters. Wolfgang would post an exchange he had with one troll and Guns N’ Roses backed him up on social media.

Wolfgang posted an exchange he had with a hater who referred to him as and i quote “immature little child with a bad attitude” and that he was only on tour with Guns N’ Roses because he’s Eddie’s son.
Wolfie replied to the hater saying: “Hey man, they can kick me off the tour anytime they want if it’s not working out. My last name may have opened the door but it doesn’t keep me here, and it certainly doesn’t write, record, sing, or play the songs for me either. I’m the one doing that. So I kindly suggest you eat my entire expletive.”
“Don’t expect to be off the tour anytime soon,”
Then Anthony added, “good return Wolf. Expletive those guys, keep killin’ it out there!”
Wolfie thanked people for all the support.
Axl Rose Praises Wolfgang Van Halen’s Album
As part of the 2021 ‘Not in This Lifetime’ tour, Guns N’ Roses have Mammoth WVH opening for them. The band is fronted by Wolfgang Van Halen, the son of Eddie Van Halen. During a recent interview with Ultimate Classic Rock Wolfgang revealed a pretty awesome gesture by Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose.
“He [Axl] told me that he really liked ‘Don’t Back Down,’ and that he really liked the video,He gave me a hug. I couldn’t believe it. He was a really sweet guy.
“The other day, Duff [McKagan, bass] came to our dressing room and he’s a sweetheart as well.
“He was telling us how Axl said that ‘Don’t Back Down’ is just straight ’ rock ‘n’ roll and I thought that was the biggest compliment I could have heard. It still feels like a dream.

Guns N’ Roses Deal With A Technical Problem During Detroit Concert Last Night

Brian May of Queen Talks Axl Rose and Slash
Brian May, guitarist for legendary band Queen talked to Ultimate Classic Rock and discussed touring with Guns N’ Roses and his relationship with guitarist Slash and frontman Axl Rose saying the following:
I don’t know when I first met Slash, but I’m happy to say that we have a continuing friendship. I guess I was around him mostly when I did that support tour for Guns N’ Roses all over the world. It was great for me, because I was playing with people who I respect and they also respect me. Axl [Rose] was known for being difficult and whatever, you know, he was always great to me. He always had time to speak to me. I used to go into Axl’s dressing room before they went on. Because Axl would normally have something he wanted to say to me or ask me, which was part of his preparation for going onstage. Slash was just always very relaxed, very cool. That’s always been the way I’ve seen Slash. He’s a real gentleman and a fantastic musician, obviously.
It was great when he played with us when we were on The Tonight Show. There’s a funny story there, because Slash normally had the cigarette in his mouth. In the rehearsal, these people came over, very seriously, and said, “I’m afraid you can’t do that, Mr. Slash. It’s not allowed by the regulations.” He went, “Huh, okay.” He put it out. When the time comes and the cameras roll and we’re live, really truly live on Jay Leno’s show, it’s not recorded, he comes on with a cigarette in his mouth. I just looked at him and went, “Yeah, that’s Slash.” You can’t really take that away from him. Not that I want him to smoke. I hate smoking, because it killed my dad. But Slash is an independent spirit. And boy, did h
